In preparation for Policy Terps in Annapolis, Career Services will be hosting a networking workshop to help students prepare. Lunch will be provided.
This workshop will center around the tools and confidence to network in large settings, especially in policy areas and locations of interest. The workshop will give students insights into how to approach professionals and effectively communicate interests, as well as how to maintain contacts following the event. Networking can be daunting, so we are hoping to relieve some nerves and help students feel more prepared going into the event. If time permits, this workshop will also cover general networking strategies such as asking for informational interviews, keeping up with contacts and maintaining networks over time.
This is open to all students, but especially those who plan on attending the Policy Terps in Annapolis event.
