You're invited to join us for an evening of engaging conversation as part of the Maryland Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and the School of Public Policy's Speaker Series. Speakers include Paul Wiedefeld, Secretary, Maryland Department of Transportation and Jaclyn Hartman MPP '06, Assistant Secretary for Transportation Investments. Food will be provided.
This bi-annual speaker series brings together leaders from all levels of government. At this event, you’ll gain a unique inside look at how state transportation policy is envisioned, negotiated, and implemented—from the top-level decisions made by Secretary Wiedefeld and Governor Moore, to the complex processes and coordination managed by Assistant Secretary Hartman.
You’ll hear firsthand about the development of Maryland’s 20-Year Transportation Plan, its Capital Improvement Program, and operating budget, as well as how state leaders navigate collaboration with federal, county, and regional stakeholders.
