April is Do Good Month at the University of Maryland - a time to come together to do good in your communities and to celebrate the impact that Terps have made throughout the year. Whether you’re a student, alumni, or staff and faculty member there are many ways for you to jump in and make a difference this month. As the nation’s first Do Good campus, the University of Maryland brings together scholars, researchers, and creators, united in purpose to do good. This year’s Do Good Challenge Finalist teams will be announced on April 1! Meet the Finalist teams competing on the Challenge stage for a share of $40,000. Learn more about the Do Good Challenge.

April 5: Annapolis Terps Stream Clean Up

Saturday, April 5 | 9am-Noon
Cape St. Claire Recreation Area, 1343 Cape St Claire Rd, Annapolis

Get outside, clean up a local stream, and make a difference in your local community! We will divide up into teams to work on several locations. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes, outdoor clothing and bring a water bottle. Register to volunteer.

April 6: Clear the path for Spring with Montgomery County Terps

Burtonsville , MD

Join the Montgomery County Terps Alumni this April for Do Good Day as we come together to make our local park cleaner and greener! From picking up litter to tidying up the trails, every small effort contributes to a cleaner, greener environment for all. Register to volunteer.

You have 36 hours to explore, learn, and create with world-class mentors and over 1,000 participants. Whether you're a seasoned hacker or new to it all, there's something for everyone. Learn more and register.

April 12: Baltimore Park Clean Up

Saturday, April 12 | 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.
Middle Branch Park 3301 Waterview Ave. Baltimore, MD 21230

Come volunteer to make Baltimore beautiful by helping with a park clean up. Meet at 3301 Waterview Ave. If you have gloves and grabbers feel free to bring them. Register to volunteer.

April 19: PG Terps Do Good at the College Park Community Food Bank

Saturday, April 19 | 8:45-11:30 a.m.
College Park Food Bank, 9704 Rhode Island Ave., College Park, MD

Join us as we collect and distribute food to people in need at the College Park Food Bank. Once registered you will be directed to select your preferred volunteer role on the link provided in your confirmation email. Children must be at least 14 years old to volunteer. Register to volunteer.

April 22: Attend the Do Good Challenge Finals

The Do Good Institute is thrilled to invite you to the Do Good Challenge Finals on Tuesday, April 22 where six student teams will pitch their impact on stage for a chance to win a share of $40,000! The event will take place at the Riggs Alumni Center, with reception starting at 6:15pm and the Finals Showtime kicking off at 7p.m. Let us know you're coming

April 26: Maryland Day

Saturday, April 26| 10-4:00p.m.

Maryland Day is here! Join us for an unforgettable day of fun and discovery. Meet student chance takers and difference makers tackling today's grand challenges at the Do Good Plaza,  join Terps Against Hunger for a meal-packing event at Ritchie Coliseum, or head over to Riggs Alumni Center to volunteer with Camp Kesem for an hour. Discover all Maryland Day has to offer
