Bryce Slinger is a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland, School of Public Policy. His research focuses on military personnel policies and associated impacts on the efficiency of the U.S. Military Health System and broader national health security. In addition to his academic pursuits, Bryce is a career civil servant at the U.S. Department of Defense where he oversees strategic studies and program analysis for the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs.
Hailing from North Carolina, Bryce is an alumnus of the Presidential Management Fellowship and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, where he served as a community health generalist in rural Uganda. He received a B.A. in anthropology from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN and Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
