Emily Elizabeth Dobson is a PhD candidate in the School of Public Policy. Her research interests include social policy and inequality; child and family policy, and public and welfare economics. Dobson's work has been published in The Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science and Health Affairs.
Prior to joining the PhD program, Dobson attended the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, where she earned a Master of Public Policy with honors. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Gender Studies from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Outside of school, Dobson enjoys cooking, the outdoors and chasing after her two kids with the help of her husband, Noel.
