Qingbin Cui is a civil engineer specializing in infrastructure management and economics. Immediately prior to joining UMD, he was assistant professor of civil engineering at the University of Alabama. Prior to his academic appointment, he was a consultant for China Fortune Investment, providing project feasibility analysis. Prior to that, he worked as a field engineer, team leader and project manager for SINOPEC. He also served as an estimator in the Kaifeng-Luoyang Expressway project funded by the World Bank. Cui is an active researcher and has conducted research projects supported by state DOTs, CII, construction industry, etc. His recent research focuses on project delivery and financing, front-end planning, contract reliability and carbon projects.
