As the senior communications manager at the Do Good Institute, Saher Randhawa leads strategic communications, marketing and branding efforts that advance the Institute’s goals. She works to expand the reach and impact of the Do Good Campus and elevate the Institute’s thought leadership and reputation in the fields of nonprofit leadership, social impact and civic engagement. Randhawa oversees the Institute’s communications team, manages a variety of projects and collaborates with contractors and partners to drive forward the mission of the Do Good Lab and Nonprofit Leadership Executive Education and Training programs.
With over a decade of experience in communications and public relations, Randhawa has worked across higher education, nonprofit, retail and public sectors. She has held roles including senior social media and communications manager at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she led institution-wide social media strategies, and program manager for the VCU Internal Medicine Department at VCU Health. As assistant director for event services at VCU, she developed and managed social media and marketing efforts for the department, impacting university-wide events and engagement. Randhawa is currently engaged in professional development within the fields of nonprofit leadership and digital media strategy.
Randhawa holds an M.S. in mass communications with a focus in integrated communications and a B.S. in mass communications with a concentration in public relations, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the VCU Alumni GOLD Award and PRSA Awards. She is passionate about fostering equity, inclusion and innovation in her work and is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America. In her free time, Randhawa enjoys traveling, attending concerts and theater shows, and engaging in community-based volunteer work.
