Rachael Gosnell is currently pursing doctoral studies in International Security and Economic Policy at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy. She holds a MA in International Security Studies from Georgetown University, a Masters of Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, and a BS in Political Science from the US Naval Academy. She previously taught in the Political Science Department at the US Naval Academy for four years and is currently assigned as a European Command Foreign Area Officer as a Special Assistant to the Commander, Allied Joint Forces Command Naples and US Naval Forces Europe/Africa. As a Surface Warfare Officer, she has served onboard USS SHILOH (CG-67), USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN-75) and USS STOCKDALE (DDG 106). At the Pentagon, she served on the Navy Staff in OPNAV 513 Strategy & Policy and as the Speechwriter for the 30th Chief of Naval Operations, ADM Greenert
