Hultman (September 2025). “Achieving a High Ambition Pathway through Enhanced Subnational Climate Action in Mexico.” Center for Global Sustainability, College Park.

New research from the Center for Global Sustainability (CGS) at the University of Maryland and WWF Mexico presents high-ambition, economy-wide pathways to reduce Mexico’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 47-51% by 2035 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The research builds upon CGS’s earlier report, Enhancing Global Ambition for 2035, and informs the new Country Climate Ambition website that provides in-depth analyses and policy recommendations for 12 major-emitting countries.
